Biografía del Médico
El Dr. Scholl vino al Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital desde Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital en el Centro Médico de la Universidad Vanderbilt, donde fue Profesor Clínico Auxiliar en el Departamento de Cirugía Cardiaca y Director Quirúrgico de Trasplante de Corazón, y Director del Programa de Dispositivo de Asistencia Cardiaca. Previo a eso, fue Jefe Interino de Cirugía Cardiaca en el Nashville Veterans Administration Hospital.
El Dr. Scholl actuó en seis episodios del programa de New York Times Television “Resident Life,” el cual se transmitió en 2003 por The Learning Channel. Sus investigaciones en Vanderbilt estaban relacionadas con el desarrollo de un banco de tejido cardiaco para análisis proteómico de la función y el desarrollo cardiacos, y de la fisiopatología. También es uno de los poseedores de la patente para un dispositivo implantable de asistencia pediátrica y es crítico para “The European Journal of Cardio-Thoracic Surgery & Interactive CardioVascular and Thoracic Surgery.”
