Biografía del Médico

Lilliam Valdes-Cruz, MDLa Dra. Valdes-Cruz es reconocida a nivel internacional por sus investigaciones en la dinámica del flujo cardiaco y en la cuantificación de métodos de ultrasonido.

Ha tenido una suma considerable de nombramientos académicos y profesionales con el paso de los años, más recientemente como Profesora de Pediatría y Directora de Imaginología Cardiaca y Laboratorios de Investigación en el Children's Hospital de Denver, Colorado. Su experiencia previa incluye puestos médicos, administrativos, académicos y de investigación en Cardiología pediátrica e Imaginología Cardiaca Pediátrica en el Health Sciences Center de la Universidad de Colorado/El Children's Hospital, la Universidad de California en San Diego, la Universidad de Arizona y la Universidad de New York. Realizó su capacitación de posgrado en Pediatría y Cardiología Pediátrica y sus investigaciones en Fisiología Fetal en la Universidad de New York, en el Johns Hopkins Hospital y en el Nuffield Institute for Medical Research de la Universidad de Oxford, Inglaterra. Además de esto, ha sido profesora invitada y conferencista invitada en numerosas instituciones del mundo.

La Dra. Valdes-Cruz ha publicado más de 100 artículos en publicaciones revisadas por colegas y es una de los autoras de “Echocardiographic Diagnosis of Congenital Heart Disease: An Embryologic and Anatomic Approach,” un libro de texto sobre ecocardiografía pediátrica publicado por Lippincott, Williams & Wilkins en 1999.
